In honor of the very recent (and VERY fun) AIS reunion, here's an update from someone who helped out at the event. Craig Congdon (employee #139) served as one of our photographers at the event. His wife, Theresa (Hernandez) Congdon (#162) also helped out with some of the pre-planning and with making sure guests got checked in. Theresa worked at AIS from 1986 to 1989 (she thinks); Craig was there from 1985 to 1990.
Craig's email address is mtnhdwy@charter.net. His employment after AIS has been with San Bernardino County and Superior Court.
For notable accomplishments and travels, Craig writes: introduced many people to love of bicycling; built dream house on site of former Big Bear cabin; continued bicycling, including overseas; met lifetime goal of riding Redlands to Onyx Summit 500 times.
His favorite AIS memories include: meeting Theresa (on top of his light table) [editor's note: I think we need to hear more of that story!]; evening rides; AIS fetes, including gatherings in desert, mountains, and beaches; and being introduced to Corrie, our best dog ever, through Lisa Siegl Schmit.
Craig also had this comment: "Through AIS, Toshie and Eric not only provided valued GIS support services, they also provided first professional working opportunities, starting many successful careers and lifetime friendships. Many thanks to Toshie and Eric for creating and maintaining such a positive work environment."
Well said, Craig - and that sentiment was heard often at the reunion!
