Since the early 1990s, AIS has been providing assistance to the City of Rancho Mirage in creating and updating a general plan data layer and streets data layer. Over the years AIS has also prepared numerous maps that have appeared in the City’s environmental documents.
In addition to the General Plan data, AIS created a data layer of vacant and developed land for the City based on the Southern California Association of Government (SCAG) Regional Land Use. By photo interpreting the City’s yearly aerial photography, AIS updates the City’s vacant/developed layer.
During an updating cycle, the City’s General Plan, Street, and Neighborhood maps are all reviewed, modified and re-printed. The latest version of these maps can now be found on the City’s website.
